With 60 or more Bald Eagles reported at Conowingo I headed South for the 1 1/2 hour drive across the Mason/Dixon line into Northern Maryland to the Hydro Electric Generation Dam across the mile wide Susquehanna River. (That’s a long sentence, Florence Adderson my old English Language teacher would have me rewrite it I’m sure). Anyway, initially it was reasonably nice conditions, not too cold and bright, partly cloudy to start. The Eagles however were not very cooperative. The plant was not generating which creates the turbulence that stuns the fish that float to the surface and provides easy pickings for the Eagles. So not much in the way of Eagle action. I did manage to photograph these unusual sights.
