On Monday morning I did see a hole in the clouds to see a tiny bit of blue sky and that’s the closest I’ve come to seeing the sun. Saturday it was rain and it’s been a heavy overcast since then. I think it’s more like very low clouds as the hills (they call them mountains round here) are obscured to the North and the South. Where am I going with this you might wonder? Well it just means that flashing is becoming a bit of a habit I’m sorry to say. I’ve complained often enough about the harsh midday sunlight but I would love a bit of it right now. Anyway, I’m still flashing.
I’ve been hacking away at a birch log to create a cup inside to fill with mealworms and seed. It’s working but needs a bit of fine tuning just yet.
