Bombay Hook, Delaware

Forecast to be a nice sunny day so Mrs Me and I drove down to Delaware to visit Bombay Hook NWR. It seemed to be high tide and although lots of birds they were all too distant to photograph. Except for the Sandhill Cranes. They were having a right old frolic, leaping and flapping and dancing.  Moving on we came across some close Canada Geese (don’t ask what species/subspecies as I haven’t a clue). Lots of Ruddy Duck, Hooded Mergansers, Buffleheads, Tundra Swans etc but all way too far out. Several Bald Eagle, Northern Harrier but again no photographic opportunities.
